When I got my nose pierced, I only paid $20.00 (for the piercing and all) to a man in a shoebox tattoo shop. It didn’t hurt what so ever and I loved the small stud.
My best friend, Emmy, also loved my nose piercing and last October she researched (my guy sounded sketch—her words!) and found Identity Body Piercing on Facebook. We just walked in and were helped straight away.
Here are 5 reasons why Identity Body Piercing is the best in Chicago.
1. Specializes In Piercing
Unlike a lot of places that are piercings and tattoos, Identity is solely a piercing shop. Cuba and Molly know what they’re doing in terms of piercing. They are more than happy to answer any questions that you have about piercings. They have a 5 Star rating on Yelp.
Molly pierced Emmy’s nose and Cuba pierced my industrial. I apologize in advance if you don’t like needles…
2. Nice Atmosphere
Cuba and Molly are warm and welcoming. When you first walk into the shop you are instantly welcomed and asked how they can help you. You’ll feel right at home, even if you’re not covered in tattoos and piercings.
The bonus is that they have a Keurig machine and always tell customers to help themselves. Emmy and I are always too nervous about the actual piercing to help ourselves. Lol.
3. High Quality Unique Jewelry
Every single display in the shop is full of jewelry. They have endless jewelry options. I love coming into the store and browsing all of the cases. You are likely to find something to fit your personal style and personality.
Identity offers facial piercing, surface piercings, earlobe stretching, piercing removal and jewelry changes.
4. It’s Clean
They sterilize everything, as any piercing shop should. I waited only 7 minutes for my jewelry to be cleaned and sterilized. Molly told me to make myself comfortable and welcomed me to use the Keurig machine, if I wanted to while I was waiting.
They always wear gloves when piercing or examining the area to be pierced. Their “bedside” manner is awesome.
5. They Care
I had been taking my nose stud out at night since I had pulled it out in my sleep and almost lost it. On Friday, I was freaking out thinking my nose piercing had closed up—I forgot to put my stud back in for two days. I got dressed and immediately started to drive to Identity.
I walked in, was greeted warmly by Molly and another woman (who’s name I didn’t get) and asked how they could help me. I described my situation to Molly and she was super friendly and helped me pick out a new nose stud.
Molly explained to me how Identity’s jewelry is different from other jewelry. The new stud has a jewel top that pushes into the back piece versus the standard hook nose stud jewelry. This keeps it from falling out or getting pulled out.
I was in the studio for a maximum of 20 minutes. The process was quick, painless, and easy.
If you’re thinking about getting either your first piercing or another piercing, I highly suggest that you check out Identity Body Piercing.
