KESHA IS BACK!

Hey, Caf-Fiends!

This Fresh Friday, I am BEYOND excited. Why am I excited? Because out of the ashes, Kesha (formerly Ke$ha) has risen like a fucking phoenix and is BACK! SHE’S BACK MY FELLOW ANIMALS! AHHHHH!

Anyone that I went to college with will know that I’m obsessed with her. I almost got to see her a few times when I went to Loyola University Chicago.

Sadly, when I was in college, is when her huge legal battle ensued with Dr. Luke and her appearances all got canceled over the years. Still, I remain a die-hard fan of hers. I even dressed as her for Halloween my sophomore year and was and still am a member of #FreedomforKesha or #FreeKesha.

Her legal battle went on for years and in April of 2016 a judge threw out all of Kesha’s abuse allegations against Dr. Luke. Don’t even get me started, they should’ve believed her from the get-go and let her continue to produce her music while the trial went on. In fact, Zedd offered to produce Kesha’s music for her instead of Dr. Luke.

Kesha is allowed to continue producing music, however, Dr. Luke will make money off of her next three albums. This brings me to my next point. Kesha has released a new single called, “Praying” and not only does it give me life but you can definitely hear the influences behind the song.

Lyrics: Well, you almost had me fooled. Told me that I was nothing without you. Oh, and after everything you’ve done. I can thank you for how strong I have become. ‘Cause you brought the flames and you put me through hell. I had to learn how to fight for myself. And we both know all the truth I could tell. I’ll just say this is I wish you farewell. I hope you’re somewhere praying, praying. I hope your soul is changing, changing. I hope you find your peace. Falling on your knees, praying. I’m proud of who I am. No more monsters, I can breathe again. And you said that I was done. Well, you were wrong and now the best is yet to come. ‘Cause I can make it on my own. And I don’t need you, I found a strength I’ve never known. I’ve been thrown out, I’ve been burned. When I’m finished, they won’t even know your name. You brought the flames and you put me through hell. I had to learn how to fight for myself. And we both know all the truth I could tell. I’ll just say this is I wish you farewell. I hope you’re somewhere praying, praying. I hope your soul is changing, changing. I hope you find your peace. Falling on your knees, praying. Oh, sometimes, I pray for you at night. Oh, someday, maybe you’ll see the light. Oh, some say, in life, you gonna get what you give. But some things, only God can forgive. I hope you’re somewhere praying, praying. I hope your soul is changing, changing. I hope you find your peace. Falling on your knees, praying.

Kesha’s new album is titled, “Rainbow,” and will be released August 11, 2017. I can already tell that this album is going to be epic just by the tracklist alone. You can bet your ass that I’ll buy it before August 11, if it’s available before then.

Below is the track list for Rainbow:

  1. Bastards
  2. Let ‘Em Talk
  3. Woman
  4. Hymn
  5. Praying
  6. Learn To Let Go
  7. Finding You
  8. Rainbow
  9. Hunt You Down
  10. Boogie Feet
  11. Boots
  12. Old Flames (Can’t Hold a Candle To You)
  13. Godzilla
  14. Spaceship

There’s no doubt in my mind that her album is going to be beyond epic! IS IT AUGUST YET?

I love her song, Die Young! Comment below with your favorite Kesha song and your thoughts on Praying and Kesha’s new album!

My message is to give the haters the finger and be yourself.

#SUPPORT KESHA!
