One Photo per Hour Through the Day

I tried my best to take a snapshot of every hour of my typical work day for you guys. I posted these pics on my Instagram stories for my friends and they seemed to enjoy them.

As the year progresses, I’m thinking about doing this once per month. What do you think?

Anyway, here’s a peek into my Tuesday. If you’re new here, welcome! Let me know in the comments what your favorite kind of blog posts to read are.

Before I leave for work, I make sure that I open the back door blinds so my doggo can be entertained by the outside world. Don’t mind the mess in the background! LOL.

It takes me around 30-35mins to drive to work. Then I put on some minimal makeup in the car before crossing the street.

My morning ritual consists of me grabbing a cup of coffee and going through my To Do list for the day. It roughly takes me an hour and a half to get everything situated, this includes approving people to the Instagram for Business facebook group.

For lunch, I had some Pad Thai from a local Thai place here in Austin. For a few months, I lived with my parents in their small town where there was no Thai food available. It was torture so now I eat Thai food whenever I can.

Time to go for a walk around the office and stretch my legs. At my job, I have to stay at my desk and talk to clients for about 2 1/2 – 4 hours. I like to take a walk right before and right after.

Last week, my company had a hackathon to create products that would better the company as well as create usable products for our clients. I stuck my Hackathon sticker to my company notebook.

Does anyone else’s work play music in the bathroom? I swear one day it’s an 80s dance party, the next it’s alternative rock. What’s your favorite kind of music to dance or pee (lol) to?

We have a pretty great view from our 9th-floor office window. You can pretty much see all of downtown Austin.

I’ve been loving my marble Contigo water bottle that I bought from Target. I’m able to unscrew the grey spout from the water bottle and place ice cubes inside. When I do that, the bottle is insulated and combined with the ice it keeps it cool for long periods of time.

I try to leave work as soon as I can to avoid the rush hour traffic heading home. Time management is key to being able to complete all of my work in a timely and orderly fashion. I schedule everything in my Google Calendar and use a Chrome extension to check things off of my To-Do List.

It can take me up to 30 minutes to get home depending on the traffic. When I reach my apartment complex, the first thing I do is check my mail and walk Zeppelin.

After our walk and a romp at the dog park on the complex, I let Zeppelin chill out on the back porch while I cook dinner. Be on the lookout for a future post featuring a porch makeover!

An hour before bed I like to light some incense to put myself in a chill meditative mode. It puts me in the mood to unwind and this is when I start my somewhat nightly routine.

I try to get into bed before 10 PM. Especially on nights where I know that I’ll be waking up early in the morning to make a 5:15 AM workout class. Did you know that many CEOs wake up at 5AM or earlier? They use this time to clean their homes and get everything ready for the day.

What are your night routines? Do you go to the gym before or after work? If you liked this post, please let me know! Maybe I can do a monthly or bi-monthly post like this.
