Kopakama Cooperative

Hey, Caf-Fiends!

I wanted to bring to you all two things–a life update and a story I recently read about the Kopakama Cooperative. If you’ve been following me on Instagram, then you already know that I’m a barista at Stellar Beans in Lake Charles, LA. I know, first I drink the coffee then I write about the coffee then I became a barista (Gilmore Girls reference anyone?). Anyway, I’m currently living at my parent’s house in Lake Charles, LA while I try and save money to move to Austin, TX where in two or three years time I hope to one day open a coffee shop!

College search? Here’s Why You Should Check Out A College You Normally Wouldn’t

COPENHAGEN

We all have expectations and a list when it comes to picking out universities. Some of the expectations might be: a good program for your major, good sports teams, large/small campus, Ivy League, Big Ten, a college in a city or a college in the country. Always on the Outside

Always On The Outside

I wrote this my freshman year of college (Fall 2010) when I was feeling alone, like an outsider, and depressed. Don’t Give Up, You’re Going To Be Okay.

Don't Give Up, You're going to Be okay.

(Trigger Warning: self-harm and bullying)

I see the sneers and the sideways glances. Their utter disgust with my body, and tattoos. I can hear them calling me Fat Amy when they think I can’t hear. They are uncomfortable with how comfortable I am in my own skin.

One of my friends told me awhile back that she was envious of my confidence and how sure I am about myself. Yet, I wasn’t always like this.

There was a time where I thought about ending it all.

Qmee, make money while surfing the web.

qmee_1435266044842_800

Hey, guys! So my last post focused on BoostInsider, an online marketing campaign site, that pays you for promoting different services and apps through social media. I’ve made $3.30 and to be honest I have not been very active with it.

What stinks about BoostInsider is that they won’t let you cash out unless you have earned at least $20.00.

BoostInsider began to run a campaign for this website called Qmee. It sounded like such a great and easy way to make money that I signed up. Boy, am I glad that I did!
